What can be said about the Fender Precision Bass that hasn't been said
a million times before?
This is a fine example of a mid-nineties MIM P-bass. BEFORE I got the Jazz Bass, this was the one that got played the most. It was the one the Palm Jalmmers always picked up, because they knew what to expect. It was the one I played at jam sessions because, as I have gotten older and fatter, it was the only bass that still felt comfortable hanging on a strap across my ever-expanding gut...
Spring 2006: After a couple years of playing it bone-stock (except for black-chromed metal knobs), I did a little upgrade, installing a custom-wound pickup from my ol' pal Pete over at Vintage Vibe, as well as a mid-cut mod on the tone pot - and the spiffy new Allparts black pearl pickguard. I've been considering one of those Badass replacement bridges to spice it up a bit more, as well. Heck, who knows, maybe even a new set of strings - I've had them Rotosounds for almost twenty years now...
What more can I say? It's a P-Bass...
