What can be said about the Fender Precision Bass that hasn't been said
a million times before?
This is a fine example of a mid-nineties MIM P-bass. Of the three basses in the "stable," this is the one that gets played the most. It's the one the jammers pick up, because they know what to expect. It's the one I play at jams because, as I have gotten older and fatter, it's the only bass of the three that still feels comfortable hanging on a strap, across my ever-expanding gut...
After years of playing it bone-stock (except for black-chromed metal knobs), I recently did a little upgrade, installing a custom-wound pickup from my ol' pal Pete over at Vintage Vibe, as well as a mid-cut mod on the tone pot - and the spiffy new Allparts pickguard. I've been considering one of those Badass replacement bridges to spice it up a bit more, as well. Heck, who knows, maybe even a new set of strings - them Rotosounds have been on there for almost ten years now...
What more can I say? It's a P-Bass...
